15/05/23

For the 2023 UK Black Business Show, we are delighted to welcome Every Child Needs a Mentor as a Community Partner for both the Birmingham Saturday, 17th June 2023 and London October 2nd – 2023 events.

Heading into its seventh year, the UK Black Business Week – which also comprises of the UK Black Business Show – is the biggest business event in the UK and Europe for Black business owners and professionals. Growing in size every year, the event is expected to welcome more than 15,000 attendees throughout the week.

The UKBBS is an opportunity to bring together some of the nation’s leading entrepreneurs, professionals, companies, and allies of the Black community to celebrate both individual and collective successes within the industry and beyond.

Every Child Needs a Mentor Limited (ECNM) is the UK’s leading specialist youth mentoring organisation supporting schools, companies, Local Authorities, and parents to help young people to discover their greatness. With a vision to create equality of opportunity by providing young people with life-changing mentorship, ECNM was founded by CEO Herman Stewart to ensure young people have access to inspirational mentors and professional role models to improve their life skills, social etiquette, and aspirations.

UK Black Business Week was created to develop, empower, and inspire. This year the line–up features over 90 speakers, including entrepreneur and Dragons Den star Steven Bartlett, Dr Anne Marie Imafidon, Frank Bruno, Reni Eddo–Lodge and more.

Michael Adeniya, Chief Operating Officer of UK Black Business Week & UK Black Business Show commented:

"Creating better outcomes and opportunities for the Black community is at the heart of everything we do. We're also seeing visitors to UK Black Business Week get younger as they seek inspiration, role models and access to new skills. It's with great pleasure we welcome ECNM as a community partner so that their network of young people can be inspired, build their own networks, and get access to career and business opportunities they may not have thought we available to them."

Herman W. Stewart, Founder & CEO of Every Child Needs a Mentor, added:

"For over 20 years, I have been committed to developing young people, and at ECNM we understand the importance of enabling young people to see their future selves in others because it is hard to be what you cannot see. With representation being key and the UK Black Business Show being a huge source of inspiration for adults, through our collaboration, we are committed to making this inspiration at UKBBS accessible to young people. We are extremely excited about the opportunity that professionals will get to become mentors and role models for the younger generation through our partnership."
